Haleiwa Harbor, Haleiwa Ali`i Beach Park & War Memorial Monument

Up on O`ahu's North Shore we find the quaint little surfing town known as Haleiwa. This VR places you right on the beach overlooking the harbor and nearby facilities, grounds and sands of Haleiwa Ali`i Beach Park.

Altho there is a bypass road which cuts around Haleiwa now, if you have never been here you owe it to yourself to cruise through Haleiwa town. You'll find some of the world's tastiest Shave Ice, art galleries, surf shops and restaurants.

This Vr was shot using a Kodak DC 50 digital camera on Saturday November 2nd 1996 just as storm clouds approached. It was much sunnier at Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay (still to come).

Haleiwa is pronounced Ha-lay-ee-vah.
